I want to be straight with you from the get-go - this is not your usual experience. I welcome you in my neck of the woods. I’ve designed this site to be of a dynamic content. I’m not a fan of a static websites. I want to be different, I want to feel alive.

Back in a day, I was deep into IT world and had my episode with the web design courses. I like minimalistic, text-oriented approach the most. So words will flow, pictures will change… Even the whole layout might be different in the future iterations.

Personally, the most important to me is my Thoughts & Prayers page. In my business, I put a lot of stress on building relationships with my Clients. I much prefer to have a few for a lifetime over many, for only one or two projects. If my potential Client feels the same way, he or she would most definitely like to learn more about me, before the first contact. That’s what that section is for.

Contact page is pretty much self-explanatory. I welcome anyone who wants to ask me anything regarding my shoemaking business.

I’m working on the materials for the future Tutorials page and potentially other sections too. This space is designed for adventures. Keep your eyes peeled.

The Work

The story of my shoemaking journey will be revealed in my Thoughts & Prayers section with time. Certainly, it is unique and different. My very first big-time Client was one of the well-known shoe collectors in the world. The task was daring as I am, so no holding back at all.

The result was so cool that Justin FitzPatrick decided to ask me for words and photos, to complete the picture. It was published on his The Shoe Snob Blog back then. It all went from there for me, as you can imagine. Great start, indeed!

Later on, I took a position in one of the finest and oldest workshops in Poland. I still work there as a full-time bottom maker. It proves to be a fantastic side-experience, for I've developed my skills quite a bit, taking some hard lessons and shoemaking courses in Warsaw since then.

Now I know almost all the secrets of an old Polish-school shoemaking. At the same time, I’ve figured out my own, distinctive ways of the craft. Hence, my pairs are not even branded in any form. I’m sure that my works will speak for themselves for the future generations. I’m just saying...

Gdańsk; Gdańsk; Poland; Place of work;

I’m a bespoke-only shoe and last maker, based in Tricity, Poland. I’ve been traveling the world for ten years, only to end-up in my hometown, eventually. It was quite a journey. Very emblematic to who I am as a man today. (photo by yours truly)

I’m a man of many passions. I like to take pictures of my works and talk to other photographers. Photography is something I’m really into and you’ll see a lot more of my own shots on this site in the future. Throughout my life, I’m interested in writing. I’m in a full control here.

How it works

A little bit about services and my work philosophy.

  • I buy the hides directly from tanneries only. I use Polish, French and Italian ones. Most of the times, I order from MARYAM tannery. The reason is that they can produce a custom hides, so I’m getting the materials to work with, made to my own specification.

  • So far, it works like this: we talk, we share, we consult. I work with shoe collectors from all around the world via the Internet. You send me your measurements sheet and I do all the rest. I guarantee the perfect fit, for I will send you as many fitting pairs as it takes to get there. At the same time, my fitting pairs are fully constructed shoes, so usually you’ll get two pairs within a single order from me.

  • A pair of bespoke lasts. A pair of lasted shoe trees. A fitting and final pairs. A custom made wooden shoe box. Unique shoe bags made by me, that corresponds with the pair’s design. A coffee table album with my own words and pictures, documenting the whole making process of your shoes.

I specialize in original designs.

My favorite way of organizing the workflow is when the Client leaves the design and the whole production process to me. As a maker, I define my style and place on the bespoke market as a craftsman, who loves to work with the Client, not for the Client. I will never create a pair that I wouldn’t like to own for myself. This is the very key to understand my stand in the business. Quality over quantity.

All the work is made by me only.

Usually it works great, especially due to a remote contact type. To execute all the work by a single person is a huge advantage. I understand the difference fully now, for I’ve got two years of experience under my belt as an outworker, for another bespoke workshop. Nothing compares to the privilege of making a pair of lasts and then designing and making the uppers, using the same hands and mind.
